The aim of the bachelor thesis is to define the concept of joy and introduce the theme of happiness in all its vastness. The work is divided into two main parts, the theoretical part and the empirical part. In the theoretical part, first the concept of joy is clarified, then the individual triggers of joy are described, then I focus on the moment of the initiation of joy and its experiencing, afterwards I deal with the manifestations of joy and its impact, while I also mention the preconditions for experiencing joy and the pathology of joy, and in the end of this part I am preoccupied with the question of how one can evoke joy in everyday life, also within the concept of a meaningful life. The empirical part follows the theoretical part, more specifically it follows the chapter dealing with the experiencing of joy. The proposal of the qualitative research is focused on the examination of the experiencing of joy caused by three different situations evoking joy. The method of the research is grounded theory.

Consequently, a comparison of both play theologies is presented. Joy in the Thought of Friedrich Nietzsche
Chmel, Patrik ; Blažková, Miloslava (advisor) ; Hogenová, Anna (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to show the joy, which is connected with the main ideas of Friedrich Nietzsche's work. It will attempt to outline the roles which God, the world and suffering play in relation to joy. The first part of this work will interpret the death of God, assess it in a contemporary context and use it as a cornerstone for understanding the other opinions of our thinker. The thesis will also define the traditional Christian perception of mankind, the world and happiness, and contrast it with Nietzsche's joyful message. A further important part of this work will focus on the correlation between the idea of the overman and the eternal recurrence of the same. Both are shown to bring an entirely different kind of joy. However, in the end it should be clear that one cannot exist without the other. Key words Nietzsche, joy, Jesus, Dionysus, will to power, overman, last man, eternal recurrence of the same, suffering, Christianity, God, death, world.
Touha žít
PRÍVARA, Michal
The work deals with the problem of the pain and suffering of a young person that prevents him from developing his desire to live. The work is focused on the young person and it is based on the psychological introduction to the issue. It notices accompanying facts of suffer as fear and anxiety, but also its counterparts in the form of hope and joy. The work also seeks to search for the meaning of these negative facts and presents several knowledge from logo therapy. It further develops Christian perspectives that relate to the problem of the pain and suffering of a young person, especially on the basis of the Bible, the apostolic letter Salvifici Doloris. It offers a view of faith, hope and joy, but does not negate the possibility of doubt and dark nights. It further describes the value of prayer and seeks to find ways for the young man to accept his life also with suffering. It shows the Church as a community of love, especially according to the example of the merciful Samaritan. It points to the importance of communication - dialogue with a young person and authenticity of human acceptance that is a very important function of the relationship when the young person feels his value and importance. It also develops the qualitative function of the relationship based on providing help beyond the profession, thanks to which fact a young person can once again discover his desire to live despite the limiting factors in the form of pain and suffering. In the end, there are described several case studies in the work focused on the importance of personal relationships that can bring the necessary changes for young man and to discover the value of human life.
The Book Song of Songs as an Answer to Qohelet's Vanity
FILIPOVÁ, Anna
This thesis is concerned with, in the words of Song of Songs, finding an appropriate answer to Qohelet's vanity - vanity of a human life and things that inherently come with it, as Qohelet himself proclaims in his book. The first chapter introduces the Book of Qohelet and aims to capture the main themes of vanity and transience, while also providing the ways out from this situation, as presented by Qohelet. The second chapter introduces the reader to the Song of Songs book while also describing its content which concerns the interpretation of love between a man and a woman. The third chapter brings forward efforts of the author and the main themes and conclusions of the book are analysed. This allows - in the conclusion of this thesis - to answer the question of whether the love in the Songs of Songs is a possible answer to Qoheleth's vanity - the transience of a human life, as brought out by Qohelet in his work.
Authorial Acting as (Non)education towards a Self
Pártlová, Zuzana ; SUDA, Stanislav (advisor) ; MALANÍKOVÁ, Hana (referee)
This doctoral thesis explores the potential of authorial acting as a tool for open-ended self-education. It focuses on the properties and the process of acquiring psychosomatic capacity for presentation in front of an audience as a means of self-discovery and self-realization through play (Dialogical Acting with the Inner Partner) and other preparatory psychosomatic drama disciplines. The secondary subject of this thesis is the relevance of this capacity to teachers and educators. In the theoretical section, I present the essential terms and concepts as well as the basis of my research. I explain why I use the expression "(non)education towards a self” rather than "personal education” and how one's holistic and creative conditioning relates to the skills of a pedagogue or educator in the broadest sense of the word. The qualitative research section consists of three parts which correspond to three research projects. The first part explores the "personal trajectories" of students of the two-year “Creative Pedagogy-Pedagogical Condition” (CP-PC) study program. The exploration is based on written reflections and a two-day encounter devoted to discussion and creative work. The encounter involved practical workshops as well as talks with I. Vyskočil and E. Vyskočilová and student discussions. The aim was to explore the development of the individual psychosomatic “fitness" by means that go beyond written subjective reflections and offer live confrontations with oneself and others in workshops and discussions. The second part focuses on the issue of authenticity and the triple actor-viewer-assistant relation. Using simultaneous recording with two cameras and focus groups, we tried to analyze the moments of spontaneity during the experimentation and to identify the essential features of authentic expression. The themes that significantly emerged from the research were the theme of inner and outer spectator and of body resonance and joy as main characteristics of authentic presence. In the third section, I followed up on the findings of the previous sections in 16 semistructured interviews with students of the CP-PC program as well as regular and external students at the department. These interviews were analyzed using the method of open coding combining two perspectives: a broader, theme-focused perspective and a narrower, notional one. This research reveals the complexity of tacit learning processes which, in the context of play and psychosomatics, foster a personal evolution towards an original, creative personality, i.e. "becoming one's self”. Simultaneously, this research attempts to define the essential "virtues” of authentic acting and outlines the benefits of Vyskočil´s pedagogy for education of educators.
